My Approach to Healing

    As a therapist, I strive to help you gain

   a greater understanding of yourself,

which includes an awareness about the underlying reasons for why you think, feel,

and act in the way you do.

 I work with clients to release conditioning (established ways of being that may not

actually be helpful), and  become more present in the

here-and-now. 

I often work with clients to address unresolved traumas, which can be seemingly large or small. Trauma refers to experiences that overwhelm, confuse, or shock us. These traumas can, even years later, continue to impact us in ways we are not fully aware of.

Knowing that trauma impacts our nervous system, I also provide psychoeducation regarding how our nervous system works, what the symptoms of nervous system dysregulation are, and how this can be treated.  ​I have completed specialized

training from the HeartMath Institute regarding trauma and using biofeedback in treatment

​​

 I am an experienced practitioner of yoga and meditation and incorporate these into treatment as well.
